Can you move the Powerchurch server side to the XP machine, and make the Win98 machine the client ?? Hi NeilZ... I was thinking of doing ...

Re: Pledge deducted from Payroll

Thought it might work like donations to the libertyunites system outlined in Issue 17 of Tales from Tech HOWEVER, I'm ...

Re: Archieves
What is your suggestion for archieving data? We want to remove people from PC, having PC contain only active members/visitors. I understand that PC does not have an archiving capability - do you have a suggestion on what to do? Do a backup of the data, then delete whom you want to delete. Its how w...

Re: large check numbers
We are now receiving on-line checks from banks; however, the check number is too large to fit in the check number field - currently set for 6 digits. Is there a way to expand this field? Judy FWIW ... why not just enter the last six digits of the check number, since this number would be meaningless...

Re: My Own Membership Master Custom Report
Hi folks. I want to create a Membership Master report that leaves out the fields we're not using, so my members won't get confused and write in a bunch of information we don't want. (Who visits, moved from etc.) Is there a place where I the standard reports (in particular the Membership Master Repo...

Re: Access copy of PC from home
I use GoToMyPC as it doesn't require any special setup at individual's houses or at church, just a browser.txranger wrote:What is the best way to allow someone to enter data into PC from home?

Re: A/R invoices
I don't think so, I don't believe the AR function was intended to be a retail solution such as Quickbooks Retail POS.CCSBA wrote:I am a new user to Powerchurch +9. Is there any way to add unit price & quantity to an Accounts Receivable invoice?

That wouldn't work either. The data structures are very different between 8.5 and 9. Basically, you'd have to upgrade your data to v9 and give it to the other person to restore. If they have a copy of 8.5, you could also give a backup for them to upgrade to v9. So I guess there is no way for someon...

Here's how we do it: 1. We let the counters enter the data right into PC+, eliminates haviing someone else do this during the week. 2. 2 counters work as a team. One separates the loose cash and checks from the envelopes. Loose cash is then collected into denominations, loose checks are given to one...

Re: Default Directory Format
We want to be able to print our church directory with the same standard choices each time. can we change the default directory layout, choices about what personal status codes to include, what codes to asterisk, etc. Is there a way to set the defaults? I'd prefer to avoid custom reports, if possibl...

Right now it's one person doing both, but the church is looking at having somebody else do payroll on one computer, while I do the rest of the accounting on a seperate computer. I suspect it would be better, and a lot less work to keep it all on one computer. Thanks Pat ' Much easier to keep it on ...
