Assign addresses a location or area code

There may be an answer somewhere to my question, but I don't even know what topic to look under! Our Stewardship Committee wants to assign each family a location code to group them for visitation. We know we can sort by zip+4, but that isn't very precise. Then we need to be able to print labels, reports, etc.
Any ideas?

There is a visit area code in the Family Mailing List that was designed for this situation. You can filter and sort many reports by this code.

Thanks, Jeff. I guess I was looking for something more complex. Now the committee will have to do the hard part--determine areas of people!
