In a limited users environment, PC is installed using Administrator credentials. Then, a limited user can run PC which on the first run creates some folders and files in the All Users profile. When maintenance updates are done on the server, the limited user will run PC on the workstation and see a small dialog before launch that the program is being updated. The problem is, PC creates the %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Powerchurch folder, subfolders and files with write permissions for that first user only. If another user logs in and a maintenance patch has been applied, they will receive a file copied error and PC will not run until the permissions are adjusted. I just change mine to the domain users group. This is easy for me to script a fix, but I thought you might want to know. Would be nice if it was multi-user friendly on this front from the get-go.
Also, still hoping for an MSI based netsetup file. We admins can automate the deployment and it wouldn't change how other people setup clients. Just say'n.
This was brought to our attention at one time. The NetSetup11 that shipped with PowerChurch 11 the first couple of months caused this problem. We have made available the version that will add the folder with the correct NTFS permissions and it is available here: Netsetup11.
