Remote Access
Good Afternoon; - I used to be able to login to Power Church from my laptop and still update &/or add member information and it updates on my church network as well. Since I no longer have that laptop, I am no longer able to do remote access. I would log in by running the IP address and now I can not do it. Could someone PLEASE tell me the way to access the software remotely so I do not always have to go into my church to do work?? WHat is the IP address to allow access???

You are going to need to speak with your system administrator of your local network. PowerChurch supports networking when you computer is connected to the local area network. It sounds like the person in charge of your local network has done something different, so you will need to talk to them about how to setup your new computer.
We do offer PowerChurch Online for people to have remote access to PowerChurch from different locations.

I had the Power Church Online and it was not what I needed. That way only allowed the adds &/or updates to be added to your network only and not to my church network. This caused me to do double work. I am not sure what they would have done differently on the Network but I will check. I have inquired with them (my IT Team) and the group we have now do not seem to be able to either understand what I need or unable to have it working...
It's a bit frustrating as my IT can not do it & this team is not able to give me what I am requesting either. I was able to get it before by just entering an IP # in the "run" program & I can not get it back now.

There is nothing in PowerChurch where you would enter an IP address to connect to the program. This had to be something your tech people setup for you. There are a number of ways to connect to a church computer remotely or could have been VPN access from your house to the church office network.
PowerChurch Online was not designed for you to maintain local network and online copies of the program. It is best when you do all of your work using PowerChurch Online from either the church office or your home. This way you maintain only copy of the data and have access to the most current information no matter where you are.
