Demo - Invalid Path or Filename when I try to open it

Post by ggbc_13 »

I just downloaded and installed Demo v. 11.5. After it installs I tried opening it with both the desktop icon and the actual application file and receive an the following error:

"Invalid path or filename"

I installed it in the default folder- C:/PowerChurch/. I'm running Windows 7 Professional. Is there something I missed or am missing?

Thanks in advance.

The demo installs to C:\PowerChurch\PCDemo115 by default. There are also some system files installed under C:\Program Files\Common Files\. Make sure that neither of these folders is marked "Hidden". This has been known to cause problems for the system if the files are hidden. In Computer, browse to each of these folders, right click on them and choose Properties. If the Hidden box is checked or filled, uncheck it and click OK. It will ask if you want to apply these changes to the single folder or all the files in the folder. Choose the second option, to apply changes to all.

Checked and neither file is "hidden".

Is there any other information on the error message? Usually, it reports Program, Line No, Error No, Message.

That would help us track down the problem that you are having.
