Got a question or comment about PowerChurch that doesn't belong anywhere else? Why not post it here!?

Lost all my data entries ):

Post by NSCOGOP »

I recently bought a new computer and I copy and pasted the powerchurch folder on to a usb stick thinking it was saved there and I could just transfer it back onto my new computer. Low and behold i try and drag and drop it onto my new computer and open it up all my records were GONE!

Is there a way I could get back my files? maybe using the account #, or using some sort of restore process, I was snooping around the forum, but I couldnt find any help because I dont have a back up file to restore from :( :wall:

If you had indeed copied the entire Powerchurch directory tree, you would have picked up the DATA directory listed under the main PCPLUSxx directory.

That said, the best way to move Powerchurch to a new computer is to do a backup of the data, then install the program from scratch on the new machine, then restore the backup.

Do you still have access to the old computer ??
