I have been running powerchurch v 11 on a network and just upgraded to a new server. The server is using windows 7. I transferred all the powerchurch files to the new server. I need to install powerchurch on the new server just as if I was doing an upgrade, so that it accesses the same files.
I thought clicking the "upgrading from previous version" option would allow me to do this, but no.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Transfer version 11 to a new server
- Install PowerChurch from the original Disk
- Install the latest Maintenance Release
- Make a back up from the original machine
- Type in your registration and church information in the new server install
- Restore the back up from the original machine

Perfect! Thank you Tracy!!
(also, for future help, you need to run netsetup on the new server)

Um ... I think that you need to run Netsetup on the CLIENT machines from the shared drive on the new server.BUMC wrote:Perfect! Thank you Tracy!!![]()

Re: Transfer version 11 to a new server
Is there a location on the powerchurch website where we can learn how to set up a server and a network so we can have the same database running on multiple computers?

Also I believe there is a chapter in the Manual on how to do this.
