Jane,
In the previous test I had my language set to French (Canada) and the keyboard set to Canadian French. Is that what you were intending? If so, I've already done it! :)

I am going to be interested to find out (with you) what is the source of the problem and what is the solution.

Blessings,
Eden
Again, I suspect its because of the default fonts used by Powerchurch. It expects certain fonts to be loaded as part of Windows, and it uses that for the reports. I'm fairly sure these basic fonts are not able to print the accented characters.

Thanks NeilZ... That's what I thought.. I am sure all french people are having the same problem.

I hope there'll be a fix for that with the next update.

As I mentioned in my previous post of March, there are certain fonts that are used for the reports. These fonts do not use any of the special accent characters.

In the release of version 9 of PowerChurch Plus, we upgraded to a newer version of Crystal Reports that supported Unicode fonts, which would theoretically allow these types of "special" characters, but it broke a lot of people's functionality and we had hundreds of customers who couldn't print, or could only print garbage characters. We rolled back the update to Crystal Reports at that point and have been afraid to move forward with it since then, because the printers and drivers that people have installed simply can't handle it.

Has the problem with printing special characters in reports been resolved? We are still cannot print ë in our reports. We are running version 11.

Version 11.5 does have this capability. It does require a version upgrade:
