Default datafile location
Where is the default datafile location? Can it be changed to a location of my own choosing? (I want to be sure my daily backup routine includes these data.)
Re: Default datafile location
You should look under the Powerchurch directory.dicksmith wrote:Where is the default datafile location? Can it be changed to a location of my own choosing? (I want to be sure my daily backup routine includes these data.)
If you backup the main Powerchurch directory, you'll get the data as well. You should always include the main Powerchurch directory in any backup as there are a few files that are updated in that directory as well as the normal data directory.

OK, I see the Data subdirectory, but I hear your advice to back up the entire Powerchuch directory. Sounds good to me. Thanks for steering me.

Re: Default datafile location
On demand back up systems can temporarily lock files. This can prevent data from being properly written to them and corrupt your data.
Be sure the back routine runs when PowerChurch is inactive.
