"Save As" Online Report Problem
PC Online, Windows 7. Suddenly can no longer save an online report as pdf, word, excel. After selecting, message SAYS transferring to local computer, then just disappears, no pop-up box to enter path or name. I can no longer see a listing under "My Computer" for the virtual drive "m", only see "c." Managed to create a pdf file by selecting Print, but cannot create a Word or Excel file. May be some kind of Windows 7 security or permissions update, because it happens on both my new home computer and my computer at church which used to work fine.

Basically, they're saying that if the IDS client was installed to the c:\program files(x86)\ directory, uninstall it and force it to install to the c:\Program Files\.Re: Lost Downloads

I was running Windows 7 for the first time. The initial install of the IDS link went by default into C:\Program Files (x86)\. When I uninstalled it and reinstalled in C:\Program Files\ [no parens] it worked.
The x86 directory, because most Windows 7 installed on new computers are 64 bit, is for older programs using 32 bit compiles. Microsoft (in its infinite wisdom) decided to place some access protections on that directory so 'bad' programs wouldn't be able to mess things up.
By forcing the IDS client to the standard program file directory, this will enable the IDS client to save as needed.
