Tracking Volunteer Hours in Powerchurch

I am very interested to Know if there is a planned upgrade for tracking volunteer hours using PC? I have been charged with figuring an easy way to do this and using the software we already have would be wonderful. Thank you in advance for any response or suggestions.

I split this question off from the original topic it was posted in. That topic was over 7 years old, and this question is really a separate issue.

Right now there really isn't a provision in Powerchurch to track volunteers. Nothing says you can't use the payroll module to track hours. You'd just have to setup the volunteers with their own employee records.

That said, I wouldn't do that at all, because it can cause problems as these employee records are not easily deleted. Volunteers tend to come and go, so I could see a number of old records clogging up the system.

However, if you want to submit this idea for consideration in the next version of Powerchurch, just send your request, with a full explanation of how you would use it and what type of data you would need, to "wishlist@powerchurch.com".

There's no guarantee that it may make the final cut, but its worth a try.
