Is it possible for concurrent users to be logged on and working on the same module?

RE: Concurrent User Login
Kevin,
PowerChurch Plus is network ready, right out of the box and you can have as many users running the program as you need. Even if there is no network involved, you can still install the program on as many computers as you need. In either case, there are no additional fees or licenses required as long as everything done within the program is for the church or organization that it is licensed to.
In a network environment, individuals can be accessing or entering information at the same time and you can have as many users accessing the software as your network will support.
In fact, not only can users be accessing the same module at the same time, but users can actually even edit the same record at the same time and the program will integrate the changes they each make, as long as they don't both try to modify the same field. If that occurs, the second person will get a message indicating that the record is locked and that their changes cannot be saved.

Which user on the computer installed the program? What version of PowerChurch are you installing? A user with administrator priveledges may need to install the program so all users can see it. If that doesn't work, you may need to run the netsetup program located in your PowerChurch Plus program folder when logged in as each user.

It would help to know what OS the client computer is running and how your users are set up.CJ wrote:Help
While you say this is possible I am not seeing how to do it.
Our computer has multiple log-in users and they are able to share programs and some files but Power Church only appears to be accessable to one computer log-in name. What am I doing wrong?
On the surface, it sounds like a permissions problem for other users.
Do you have a group defined for PowerChurch users?

I was able to work this one out. For some reason even though Power Church was in the same location as the other programs and were suposed to be available to share it wasn't showing. Anyway I just sent it to shared files and we are good. Although my next issue was with a seperate computer on the network. I was able to access the program but none of the inputed info was there I had to find the folder that contained this info and specifically share it as well. I don't understand it all but it is working fine now so I guess that is all that matters.
