Creating a special marital status category

I want to create a special marriage status called "separated" for married individuals who are not divorced but separated. Can you tell me how to go about creating a new status option?

We use Power Church Plus Version 11.5

Go to Membership => Personal Profiles => Setup => Maintain Custom Codes. In there you should see an option on the left for Marital Status. Click on that. In the middle of the screen you should now see all the statuses currently in your system. There is an Add button to the right. If you click on that, you can add whatever you need too to that list. Then anything you add will be available on the drop down list in the Marital Status field on the Personal Profile..
