Got a question or comment about PowerChurch that doesn't belong anywhere else? Why not post it here!?

Start New File

Post by Stacey »

We would like to start over by starting a completely new file for our church, using PowerChurch Plus 11.5. What's the best way to do that?

Stacey,

are you talking starting over EVERYTHING ?? Or just Funds Accounting ??

I'm going to assume Funds Accounting, as Membership is easier to change in place.

You need to have the System Administrator for Powerchurch head to File -> Preferences -> Accounting Setup, then click on the button that says Restart Accounting, it will ask if you are really really really sure , then basically delete the tables, then recreate new, empty tables.

That said, definitely do a backup of Funds Accounting ONLY before you do the above, just in case you need to go back.
