reverse check number in payroll

Post by martha »

checks are printing out with correct information other than check numbers are reversed. How do I fix this.
Had to void a check for one employee but the number didn't match the employee''s name. Dealing with two employees in this particular group.

Martha,

by check numbers reversed, exactly what do you mean. They are not matching the numbers on the check blanks ??

By reverse check numbers I mean this, I am dealing with two employees being paid on the same day, employee #1 and employee #2 with two different salaries. For example if the checks #s being used to print the employees checks are #2011 and 2012, all of the information for employee #2 including salary prints on check # 2011 and vise versa employee #1 information prints on check #2012. How can I correct that?
Thank you

Martha,

Are you assigning checks manually, or are you allowing the system to select the checks? That is, when you go to print the checks, do you see the dialog that asks you for the starting check number?

Also, what version of Powerchurch are you using?

Aha ... I've deleted v9 from my test machine as we're not getting that many questions, and frankly, because Powerchurch is no longer supporting it with updates.

That said, you may want to look at this thread to see if this is what is happening to you:

As a side note, you may definitely want to talk to your church board about upgrading to v11.5. There have been so many fixes and updates in all areas of the program, that it is WELL worth the cost of upgrading.

Considering the cost is only $149 to upgrade from v9, its a good investment, and you'll have full Maintenance Release support for fixes, and updated features.
