PowerChurch Today Screen

Post by lamekuedi »

Hi,

Please tell me how to show the 01-1210 Savings balance on the same PowerChurch Today screen in the Accounting tab. Currently what shows is only the 01-1110 Checking.

Thanks,
Lydia

This is not possible to do, as PowerChurch Today is only set up to pull in the default checking account balances. Unless you want to change the default checking account to the 01-1210 Savings Account. But this likely is not advisable.

I apologize that I wasn't clear. I would like to show both accounts. Is that what you're saying is not possible?

That is correct ... only one account can currently be displayed. If the savings account was in another fund (IE: 02-1120-000) it could be displayed.

Thank you. One last question.
Since the savings account is only for savings and no expenses will be paid from that account,
1) Is it better for that to be a different fund?
2) How are other PowerChurch users keeping their checking and savings accounts....in the same 01 General fund or in separate funds?
3) What steps would I take to transfer funds from the 01-1210 savings account to show in a separate fund savings account so that I can get the results of my initial question?

Thank you,
Lydia

If the only account that will be in the different accounting fund is the savings account I would not recommend setting up a separate accounting fund for this. Normally, an accounting fund should only be set up for an activity that needs to stand on it's own and needs it's own Income and Expense Statement and Balance Sheet.

Neil--I checked PowerChurch Today in version 11.55 and don't see how you can have an account balance other than the Default Checking Account display. Unless I'm missing something.

Matt ..

you're right ... I see four different funds when I startup, but they all use the same checking account, so that's how I see them all.
