Macros to Generate Reports
We have a series of accounting reports we would like generated on specific days and emailed to the church council. Is that possible? Where are the macros stored?
Re: Macros to Generate Reports
You can create macros, however, there is no current way to trigger them to produce the reports and email them.wer61537 wrote:We have a series of accounting reports we would like generated on specific days and emailed to the church council. Is that possible? Where are the macros stored?

Thanks. Do you know where they are stored? Are they text or compiled or stored in a table?
Re: Macros to Generate Reports
Can queries be written to query accounts or is it limited to the membership data?

Re: Macros to Generate Reports
You can use macros to run reports in any of the modules. As Neil said, you can't automate them or email them using the macros. You also need to use keystrokes to create them (no mouse clicks). To start recording, hit f<12>. You'll get an input box asking for the key or key combination you want to use to launch the macro and a field for a name for it. Once you click okay, you'll see a box telling you it is recording the macro and you can stop it by hitting f<12> again. You'll then get options to continue recording, etc. etc. or to save the macro. It's one of those things you have to play around with until you get what you want within the limitations of the macro functions.
