Where did that Quick Menu Go?

This is something I've noticed in V9 that is a little inconvenient. If I have a quick menu open and am using custom reports. When exiting the custom reports, the quick menu also closes. It's not hard to get it back again, but, it doesn't seem to me that should happen. Has any one else noticed that?
