I recently computerized the accounting for our church and took over the treasurer role. We are using (PC) Power Church vs. 8.5 plus.
I truly enjoy the ease and convenience of the software. When I went over Q1 reports with our elder board I realized that I should have organized the income accounts differently. In other words I would like to go back in and assign different account numbers so that subtotals and totals show differently. Since I already have transactions posted PC will not let me change the account numbers. Are there any solutions to this problem?
I was hoping that I could find a different option because our budget is pretty tight right now. Is it possible to change the order of the accounts at the end of the year? If that is possible we may just have to wait, knowing that next year will be different.
Yes, after you have closed out the old year, but before you post any transactions for the new year, you can change or delete your income and expense accounts in versions 8.5 and older.
