Unable to generate certain reports
I recently purchased a new computer and installed Power Church 9 on it. On my new computer (running Windows XP Pro) I am not able to access certain reports. I get a message something like: Error 1426 Method_report_filename_assign Line 36 Message OLE Error Code 0x80070057 Parameter is incorrect. Then, a message that says the Page header plus the page footer is too large for the page. I am running Power Church 9 on a small network and do not experience this problem with any of the other computers.
I'm going to ask a few questions:
1. Is this the main computer, or is it networked?
2. If it is networked, is this the first networked computer, and if so, did you download the updated version of Netsetup9.exe ??
3. Has the latest Maitenance Release been applied to the system.
Answers to these may rule out some areas.

It wouldn't hurt to run the netsetup9 through the mapped drive on your client computer again, just to make sure.
There's a similar error message you'll get if you try to print checks and your printer driver is set to orient the printing landscaped instead of portrait. Check your printer settings on this computer to see if it has some weird paper size or if the default orientation is set to landscape rather than portrait. PowerChurch uses the printer driver settings to render the report on screen so you see on the screen the same thing you print.

THANK YOU! That advice you gave about the printer setup made a lot of sense because I had noticed that I only got those error messages when I was trying to generate a portrait-oriented report. Landscape reports seemed to work fine (like the budget report). I went in and changed the default printer on my computer and now all the reports are visible. Thanks for your help!
