Check Reader not working

I have installed a new computer on our network and cannot get the check reader to work. I have installed the drivers, changed the baud rate in the accessibility options . . . just doesn't read anything at all. Worked fine on the old computer that I replaced. Power Church Version 9, Windows XP

1. You may need newer drivers for that Operating System ... have you checked the manufacturers website ??

2. How is the reader connected ... some are USB some go through the keyboard connection.
