Message filtering

Post by jmichell »

Hi. I was trying to post a message in the Custom reports forum and was stopped by a message filtering routine.
It found one content issue and asked me to fix it, but didn't indicate what the issue is.
how do i find out what the routine didn't like?
Hoping i can post this..

Over-zealous Content Filters

Post by Zorak »

I apologize about your post being filtered. We added the content filtering code to the forum a few weeks back, in an effort to reduce the amount of offensive spam making its way onto our public forum. There was some incredibly offensive material being posted here, as well as the usual online ph@rmaceutical and g@mbling advertisements.

Unfortunately, from time to time, a harmless post will be caught in the trap. We are tracking the posts and users that get caught in the filter for this very reason. Luckily, you are in a very small group of people that have been affected by this. Our filter lists are currently being updated to keep this from happening again!

I have a copy of your original message, which I will post for you once we are finished updating the page.

Again, we apologize about the inconvenience!
