Budget errors in V 10

Post by stpaulser »

After importing data from V 9 into V 10, all data looks correct except the YTD and Annual Budget amounts on an Income and Expense report have tripled (exactly) themselves. Current Period, and YTD spent amounts are correct, as well as the Prior YTD budget amounts.

Hi Linda, we have this problem figured out. It will not be a problem for anyone updating to version 10 in the future.

If you notice a problem with converted data, such as budgets amounts being multiplied, a quick fix is to go back to your prior version, reindex all data files, then re-convert to version 10.

Anyone who has noticed a problem in a specific area in version 10 converted data, contact technical support (for information on sending a backup to us from your prior version) and we will repair the issue and return a properly converted file to you.

I experienced a problem with no photos being converted. Actually there appears a small number of our photos in the data\pictures folder, but they are not linked to any of the profiles. My photos total in size around 29MB. I placed a call to tech support and am awaiting a callback. However, if I went back to v9, will the reindex / reconversion potentially fix my problem? Also, do I need to rerun my network setups on my workstations throughout my network? What if I've inputted new data in to v10? Do I need to re-enter that data or is there a way to incorporate that data back into v9?
