Filter Problem

Post by martha »

I have gone to contribution, view posted contribution and entered in a date range to view certain posted contributions. I now would like to view all posted contribution. I would think by removing the date range would reverse that process, but not so. I get a message saying, "Some contributions may not be displayed because a filter is in place." What am I doing wrong? and how can I correct it?
Thanks

Just recheck the "include all contribution dates" check box.

Filter Problem

I did recheck the "include all contribution dates" check box but the only contributions that I can view are the two dates that were previously selected. Could I have some how lost the data? Is there some way to retrieve? Thanks much for your help.

I just checked on my system and could not duplicate your problem. Are you on the latest MR? The latest MR for version 9 should be dated 10/5/2006.

To test your problem, I went into view posted contributions, added a filter on the date, verified that dates did disappear. I then went back into the filter re-checked the include all contributions dates and verified all contributions came back. Are you also filtering on a range of funds? If you are that filter will still be in place unless you also clear it.

I did clear the range of funds box. Now that you said it, I am almost positive that the latest MR for V9 is my problem. I don't believe my latest one is dated 10/05/2006. I am unable to access my PCP at this time but I will as soon as possible.
Thanks

I accidently found out the reason for my problem. I had reassigned everyone new envelope numbers. After I went back thru the reassigning envelope numbers process, telling the program that the old envelope # was reassigned to envelope #X I was then able to view all of the posted contributions data. Obviously I didn't mention it before because I didn't know it had caused the problem. After checking the date for MR I found out I do not have the latest MR installed. I also read in the instructions that it could take an hour to download. Since the problem I was having is solved, I have not downloaded it yet because of time, but I know I need to and I will soon. Thanks for all of you hard work.

Hi Martha, just for clarification, the download time really depends on your internet connection speed. It could finish in a minute, or it could take several hours. If you have a high speed internet connection (DSL, cable, etc.) it really shouldn't take more than a few minutes to download and install.
