Got a question or comment about PowerChurch that doesn't belong anywhere else? Why not post it here!?

questions not answered

Post by maviszook »

I love that this forum is here, and it is extremely helpful. Of course, it is most helpful if I personally post a question and see it answered; however, it seems sometimes my questions are never answered, and I notice this happening to others too. We sure do appreciate answers!

Maybe sometimes questions can be answered if one were to read the manual or the forum items. But I think many answers are not there. :(

The problem is that the staff answering the questions here are also programmers working on the program itself. They may not always have the time to access the forums as often as some of us users that work odd shifts, and answer in the middle of the night. Not to mention, they don't work on weekends, they put enough hours in during the week not to give them Saturday off; and Sunday is a day for worship and rest.

Of course, there are some questions that they can't answer, since it involves an accounting point that they may not be familar with. However, there is a user who also teaches Powerchurch accounting that answers many of these (Thanks Matt !!), and he drops in when he has a chance (usually when he's not on the road).

That said, as one of the user/admins who tries to help out with answers based on our experience, I can truthfully say, that if there's a question that we can't answer, we won't even try to. We may point out a location that may contain some answers, but rather than steer people the wrong way, we just won't comment.

FWIW ... sometimes the answer is already in the Knowledge Base, and a search of that may find it.

Hope this helps.
