After upgrdg to v.10 everybody is going to get e-mail stmts

Post by John Dykema »

Using XP Home, PC+ v.10
We upgraded from v.8.5 and now I just noticed that the field "Send E-mail Contribution Statement" is checked for everybody's Profile. I would think they should all start out blank.
Can I change this somehow? Or is this the way the system was designed? Oh wait, maybe a macro is the answer here.
Please advise.
We are using PC+ v.11 with the latest upgrades, Win XP Pro, and 5 networked pc's.
We have 569 communicant and baptized members.

If I remember right, the checkbox is a default checked. I forget now, did 8.5 have the ability to email statements ??

FWIW ... all that checkbox does is allow you to send a statement via email to thi s contributor if you wanted to, it will not stop you from printing paper statements for all your contributors.

Right. v9 added the ability to e-mail statements and the default is checked.

I called you and you walked me through a database update to my file. Now all is fine. Thanks much.
