Error saving to excel

Post by dpetherbridge »

I'm getting an error message when I try to export a file (income/expense) report to excel.

It says

"Error: 1429
Method: report_export
Line: 122
Message: OLE IDispatch exception code 0 from crystal reports activeX
Designer access denied..."

This can be due to a file not being properly registered in Windows.

The suggested fix is:

1. Do a RESTART of the computer in question, not a Reboot. Reboot not not clear the cache, and basically saves the current state of the computer. RESTART will have the system read everything from disk.

2. Head to the x:\Powerchurch\PCPLUS14\install directory and run the NETSETUP14 program, which will refresh the Powerchurch files (not your data) and re-register all the files in Windows. (where 'X:' is the drive where Powerchurch is installed. This also assumes you're using V14.)

This should work.
