Istallation on new Windows 8 Computer

I just finished installing PowerChurch Plus version 10.4 on a Windows 8 Laptop.
After signing on I get an error message:
Program: appstartprocesses
Line 69
Error 1705
Message: File access is denied c:\program files\powerchurch\pcplus10\qm_upd.upd.
Not sure what it means, so far the program seems to be working. But, I don't like error messages popping up even if there is no apparent problem.

Larry,
Is this a 'stand alone' installation, or is this a client computer ?

Are you seeing this pop up every time you start the program ?? I don't believe its a required file, have you installed the last Maintenance Release issued, its dated 01/01/2012 ?

I just installed the maintenance release and the message still comes up every time I start the computer. Maybe it is related to Windows 8 as I had it installed it on my desk top with Windows 7 and the message never came up.

It looks like it is installed in the Program Files directory. The recommended install is directly on the root of your C drive, C:\Powerchurch\pcplus10, not in the Program Files. If it is in the Program Files, you will get permissions issues.
