Got a question or comment about PowerChurch that doesn't belong anywhere else? Why not post it here!?

missing pcqtask.dbf

Post by pastorf1 »

Our church has two computers, we loaded the powerchurch software version 10.4 onto the church computer and it's working find. Now we are trying to load the same software onto the second computer, which is with the Pastor, they are two separate computer (not linked).

It seemed to have loaded onto the second computer o.k. until we try to access the program, we are receiving the following error msg. 'c:\powerchurch\pcplus10\pcqtask.dbf' does not exist.

We entered everything asked for and we continue to get that popup error message. Do you know what is happening?

How did you load the software on the Pastor's computer, using the CD I hope. Just wondering, why are you not networking the software?? It is much easier to use one computer as the 'server' and the other as a client, this eliminates any difference in the data between the computers.

If I remember right, that database file covers the permissions system, are you trying to restore a backup from the main computer ??

Using PC+ since 1999.
