New to Power Church
Looking to purchase Power Church. If I purchase Power Church Plus, it says it can be accessed from more than one user's computer. How does that work? Can I be on it if I download it to my computer and another staff person be on it if it is downloaded to their computer? How and when do those entries synch? Or would power church online be more beneficial?
Re: New to Power Church
If you have a local network, you would install Powerchurch on the main computer for use as a server, in most churches it is usually the secretary's computer. You can install on a Network Attached Storage device by mapping the NAS drive, and using it as a local drive. This is where the database would reside.dralphin wrote:Looking to purchase Power Church. You would then share that Powerchurch directory on the network with full permissions to all. You would then map that network drive You would then use a included program called NETSETUP115.exe (for v11.5) which would install Powerchurch on the second or client computer.
You can read all about it in this Knowledgebase Article here: https://www.powerchurch.com/support/kb.php?id=35&type=1
Powerchurch Online is a very good product, it is accessed through a local client, and everything is access through that client. It does offer some additional access to data. You have to weigh the pros & cons, how many people will need access at the same time, how good and how fast is your internet connection, etc.
