Tax contribution statements

Post by RBurkum102334 »

I am a new user to PowerChurch Software and am having a problem with printing the year-end tax statements. All individual member information was entered manually including the envelope number. I was able to upload contribution information from an excel program which included contribution dates and amounts by envelope number. I then posted those contributions. I can see the contributions in the Contributions Summary Report, I can see the contributions in the Yearly Totals by Envelope report and I can see them in the Posted contributions report. All have dates between 1/1/2013 and 12/31/2013, yet when I try to run the statements I get a message saying "No envelopes found with contributions to print statements for" Not sure what I am doing wrong, can anyone help??? Thanks!!!

Just checking ... each one of those reports has a name attached, right ? And the contribution report settings are showing 01/01/2013 thru 12/31/2013?

Have you tried running an individual contribution statement using an envelope you know has contributions showing against it ??

Not sure what you mean by a name attached... All envelopes have names which were manually entered in the personal profiles. Yes, all reports were dated 1/1/2013 to 12/31/13.

I did try an individual statement. The statement comes up but there is no information on it, just the verbage on the bottom

I went back and looked at those reports and yes, they all have names, envelope numbers and amount by date where applicable

OK .. first thought: check to make sure that under Contributions -> Setup -> Maintain List of Contribution Funds that the box for Include Fund on Statements is checked.

If it is, I'm suspecting a database issue of some type.

I would first try a database reindex: Utilities -> Reindex, leave the setting at ALL FILES and hit OK. Then try running a single statement again. If you still do NOT get anything, I'd call Powerchurch directly.

Excellent, that worked. I went to Contributions Setup, to Maintain List of Contribution Fund and the box for include Funds on Statements was not checked. I checked it and now individual and multiple contribution statements are now printing properly. Thanks so much for you help!!!!!!!!
