In process of purchasing power church and trying to learn as much as I can to be ready at installation. I have looked in the forums for my answers but haven't seen it yet. Please clarify: 1) Is the data just stored on one PC or server with the program installed on all the PC's being used 2) Can more than one person work in the same module i.e. contributions simultaneously and if so, how is the data updated/maintained. If there is a source for this information, kindly point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Answers:
1. On a local network, the data is kept on the main PC, called the server, and the other computers (the clients) access the database located on the main PC.
2. Yes, people can work in the same module. This thread explains it in some detail:

Still unclear about one thing - if the server is only storing the data, does the program have to be installed on it also. Thanks.

Yes ... in versions 11 on up, the server is also acting as a application server, and so it must have the program executable available to share.
