Reversing posted contributions

Is there any way to reverse the total of posted contributions on a given day or does each entry need to be reversed individually?

Go to Contributions -> Setup -> Delete Old Data. You will then have a screen that will allow you to delete the Posted Contributions for a date range that you can set. You can set for a range of dates, or just set both date areas for the same date. This will allow you to delete the entire date's entries.
However, if there was an error in entry that will affect the transactions that were sent to Funds Accounting (money going to the wrong fund) you'll have to delete or reverse the entry made in Funds Accounting manually.
As it says in the warning, do a backup first.
Now what happens next is determined by the reason you want to reverse/delete this day's entries. If you want to pass that one, I can then point you where to go next.
