Help section fails on Powerchurch 11.55
I can't get Help to display information on a help topic when I search. Is there any way to get a standalone copy of the manual to place on my computer idependent of the program itself?

Well, there is the printed manual, and the built-in help. That's it. Frankly, they're exactly the same. What exactly are you looking for, or what is not showing?tampatreasurer wrote:I can't get Help to display information on a help topic when I search. The help file is called pcplus115.chm and is accessible from outside the program, if you wanted to put a copy on your desktop.

The help file will load and allow me to find topics but when I try to display the information it won't bring anything up in the help screen. This happens both from inside the program and if I access the file outside of the program. Any ideas?Zorak wrote:The help file is called pcplus115.chm and is accessible from outside the program, if you wanted to put a copy on your desktop.

Windows has network security settings that prevent those CHM files from being displayed from across a network connection.
The way that PowerChurch does the network install, a local copy of the CHM file will be sitting on your local computer. It sounds like that network install process may not have been done correctly:

In any case, copying that CHM file down to your local computer should resolve your issue.
