Email set up using MS Exchange Server

Post by tlj »

We have PowerChurch ad we are using our own in house mail server using Exchange 2000. When I put in the SMTP address and click the TEST button it says it makes a connection.

When I go to email a report, I get an error message stating that it was not able to relay to the email address.

Does anyone have experience setting up the email function with Exchange server?

When it makes a connection, do you get a test message across?

Make sure that you have the protocols pointing to the correct ports on the server.

Hope this helps,
Jeff

Alot also depends on if the Exchange administrator has turned off access by Anonymous users. This is sometimes done to insure that the system is not hijacked by spam relays.
