Our pastor wants to set up a book sales program for church members. The intent will be for the church to buy several bibles, reference books, etc and offer them for sale to the membership at cost, with no donor credit for revenues received.
Are there any ideas / suggestions on how to set up income / expense accounts for this type of program? Would you set up using general funds with a budgeted line item for the purchased items, or set up some sort of restricted fund / liability account for this?
Thanks, Greg
