Error Message with networking

Post by erik@gracechristiancenter »

We are trying to re-network the powerchurch installation. I am getting the following error message after following the steps in the 8.5 supplement guide.

Program: FRM_PCLOGIN.VALIDATE
Line: 28
Error: 111
Message: Cannot update the cursor

There are two reasons this may happen, and both are related to access rights. On a standalone system, the most common reason is described here:

Here is the new link to that document - http://www.powerchurch.com/support/answ ... icle_id=41

On a network, however, the most likely culprit is your access rights on the shared network drive. The share will need to be available to everyone with full read and write access. "Cannot update the cursor" means PowerChurch is unable to write to the database stored on the network.
