Is reindexing always safe?

Got a question or comment about PowerChurch that doesn't belong anywhere else? Why not post it here!?

Is reindexing always safe?

Post by dahill »

We have several people using PowerChurch Online ver 11.55. I know I can't restore without first making sure that all other users are off.
But is it safe to reindex when other users are also using PowerChurch Online? Is there any chance that their work will be lost or corrupted?

I'm fairly sure that Powerchurch Online works the same way as regular Powerchurch. If someone is working in the system you'll get a message that a table or file is locked.

That said, Powerchurch ONLINE users have free phone support. You can call and get your answers taken care of.
