I want to know if there is a way to set our printer up to hold printing the checks. Our printer is down the hallway and is used by multiple people. My fear is if I load the printer with the checks, go back to my office and print them, someone will send something and it will get printed over my checks. In our old system I could set the print to hold so I could put the checks in while I was down there and never had a problem with someone printing over them
Thanks

Unfortunately, unless your printing system has a way to hold the 'jobs' at the printer then press a button or enter a code to release them, the program will send the print job immediately and it will be printed.ULBChurch wrote:I want to know if there is a way to set our printer up to hold printing the checks. There are a few other ways to do this depending on your printing system. It may be easier for you to invest in a small laser printer for your office to print checks from. Brother has a duplex laser HL-2300D on Amazon for $63.00. That would be cheaper than having to keep reprinting checks.
You actually have a very good reason to get one as its more secure for you to load and print checks in your office, than to have to walk to a printer where its unattended.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I don't think we have room for a printer in our small office, but will bring it up to the Elders.

FWIW .. the one I was looking at is only 14"x14" and could fit on a shelf:ULBChurch wrote:Thank you. Unfortunately, I don't think we have room for a printer in our small office, but will bring it up to the Elders.
