Multiple Users and Windows XP Pro

I installed PCP on Windows XP Pro on a "server", then set up users who will connect via Remote Desktop. We have several people who wish to work on the program or view the data, and this seemed to be the best solution.
Problem is, it is FLAKY. My users, even when set up as super users, cannot use the program because they get error messages, mostly having to do with writing to files. I, the administrator, have no such issue. I can read the files, and can write new ones.
My question is, should I have just one shared user account that they all would take turns using?
