Default Directory Format

Got a question or comment about PowerChurch that doesn't belong anywhere else? Why not post it here!?

Default Directory Format

Post by jmichell »

We want to be able to print our church directory with the same standard choices each time. can we change the default directory layout, choices about what personal status codes to include, what codes to asterisk, etc.
Is there a way to set the defaults?
I'd prefer to avoid custom reports, if possible.
Thanks.

No, there is no way to set defaults in the either of the church directories. What we do is have a Continuity Binder that contains items that we have decided are defaults in Powerchurch, and other church office things.

We have a section on reports, and we have screen prints of the option screens listed there so they're used every time.

Neil, Great idea. I think that I will start one too, since as treasurer of my church and school I run many reports in slightly different formats. I wish that there was a way to save these and list them in a drop down menu to select from.

That's a good workaround, Neil, but I wish we could store the defaults. I guess that will be my first wishlist suggestion.
