Warnings for closing windows or exiting program

I would like to see in the next update, warnings that notify the user, "is this what you want to do?" or something to that effect, when he/she selects "close" on a window or "exit" for the program. I find myself many times selecting these by error, and having the window closing or the program exiting, without any warning. Then having to go through the process to reopen the window or restarting the program. My own fault but extremely frustating!
I guess I am being stalked by a German known as Dr. Alzheimer

In PowerChurch version 7 and prior, there were such warnings including, but not limited to, reminders to backup and reindex frequently. There was also an "are you sure you want to exit the program?" message in the appropriate places. We received loads of feedback from folks telling us that, yes they really did want to exit the program, thanks for asking...but quit asking.
Think about how often you perform the acts in question. Pretty soon, a warning for every closed window would get kind of tedious. I guess it's like when you're sitting at the drive-thru at McDonald's and you just want to yell at the guy, "did I *ASK* for a hot apple pie?"
So, short answer would be - probably not. That feature exisited in the past and was wildly unpopular. We do try to listen to feedback occasionally.
Thanks!

Pardon my insistence, but you could make the feature optional, so that it can be switched on/off, if so desired by the individual user

We can forward the suggestion to program development. However, I imagine it might be prioritized pretty low on the list of things they're working on for version 9.
Thanks!
