Can this be done?

Got a question or comment about PowerChurch that doesn't belong anywhere else? Why not post it here!?

Can this be done?

Post by FBC Tekonsha »

We would like to suggest that there be a place on Power Church Plus to record business meeting notes.
We had a quarterly business meeting on Sunday where there were decisions made. We would like a place where we could record these notes to refer back to the decisions that were made. Perhaps it could be housed in the Record Keeping section.

The Record Keeping function of Powerchurch is very rudimentary, and not easily adapted for such note recording. All you need to do is record the notes as Word or similar documents, then print them to a PDF using one of the free print-to-PDF applications available.

In the Presbyterian church we have a church board, called a Session. For the past 200 or so years, it has been a requirement to maintain minutes of each monthly Session meeting in a book. This is still being done today, with the minutes being written as Word documents, then printed on pages and added to the book. In addition, many churches are also printing these to PDF, and storing on 'cloud' locations such as One Drive, or Dropbox.

This is a much easier method to maintain such notes, and this also allows access to those notes by members of the committee or board without having to come to the church to print the information.
