Updating Membership

I have been updating our membership files. Some how I have listed a new member (A) as head of a family and a new member (B) as a family member listed on the profile of new member (A). How should I correct this and save the posted contributions? I though about deleting new member (A) and starting over because member (A) does not have any posted contributions. But member (B) listed on the profile of member (A) as a family member does have posted contributions. I hope I haven't confused you. May I also add that both of these members are listed as single family members. Also the name of member (B) is not listed under integrated data or family mailing list, only listed under profile.

Crate a new family for new member B in Integrated Data Entry. Then look up new member A's family, switch to the family members tab, select new member B, and click the "Move Profile" button. This will bring up a list of families. Select the new family you added for new member B.
