I've tried several reports in Profiles and can't get preferred names to print, even in the Directory (of Family Mail lists). Does someone have an explanation for me?

According to my handy-dandy Powerchurch manual, you must have set 'Name Format ' to the Preferred name on each profile. I just tested this and it works properly when I tried to create a church directory.

Does this mean everyone in the database, or everyone in the church directory?

Everyone that you wish to see a "preferred" name instead of the "given" name will have to have the "Name Format: Preferred / Given" field set to "Preferred".

This field is on the Maintain Personal Profiles screen.

I just went through the personal profile of everyone we have included in the directory and this is the case...however I still have given names rather than preferred names...

This is when you're creating a church directory ??

Which version of PC+ are you using ??

I also noticed even though the preferred name is checked in Personal Profiles, the given name prints in the pictorial directory. Did you come up with an answer? Is there any way around this? Thanks.
