Bulk (Standard) Mail Usage

I have a couple questions for PowerChurch Users regarding how you send printed matter to your mailing list.

Are you sending mailings via standard (bulk) mail? If not why?

What postal rate class are you using? (ie Standard Non-automation, Standard Automation, Presorted First Class, Periodical, etc)

Would you be willing to share their size and frequency?

Also are you using any software program other than PowerChurch to help prepare the mailing (ie Mailers+4, Satori Software BulkMailer, BM-Win Plus, Postage $aver, or some other program)

If you are not using a program to help prepare your bulk mailing, are there reasons why you are not? Have you looked at these types of programs before?

At my last church, we used bulk mail to send out our monthly newsletter, and we did use PC+ to prepare the mailing list/labels. I think we sent them out Standard Automation, but don't quote me on that. We mailed out between 550 and 600 each month.

I'm replying about the bulk mailing question. Our church has always used the "non-profit standard mail" form . We have a small mailing but we meet the requirement for "3-digit" and the rest of the mailing is other destinations. I guess this is different than the automation bulk mail that you refer to? I am interested in the difference in cost. What PS Form do you use? .. ours is PS Form 3602-N dated May 2007.
