.Net Framework shutdown problem

Please help...I think I have a .Net Framework type problem on a station running PC+10. Everytime I try to use the locate function to select a family name I get the error below which shuts down PC+: 
Program: FRM_PCLOCATE.CGRID1.SEARCHGRID
LINE: 62
ERROR: 11
MESSAGE: Function argument value, type, or count is invalid. function
This workstation has been used in the past for website based applications, so I think there may be some programming confilicts of some sort...I don't want to uninstall anything I need. This is not the only problem like this, but this is the most frequent so I think fixing this will fix the other.
