Can dBase files used in "Heaven Cent" be imported

Got a question or comment about PowerChurch that doesn't belong anywhere else? Why not post it here!?

Can dBase files used in "Heaven Cent" be imported

Post by Fred »

Our church is considering purchasing PowerChurch and I would like to know if our existing files in a program calle Heaven Cent can be imported into PowerChurch? They are pure dBase files with their assiciated index files.

I remember several years ago importing clients files from dBase (dbf) files into an MS product (it might have been Access) that did not perform very well after importing. I do not remember the details but they had to enter all the information manually to get it to function properly. I would like to avoid doing that for many reasons.

Thanks...
Fred

The only import feature in PowerChurch is the Family Mailing List information which is just general information common to everyone in a given household. ie. address, phone, etc. You would still have to enter information for each individual. ie. birthdate, member status, etc.

We do have a data conversion service available which may be able to import your data. We would need to see your data to know for sure. There is a fee for this service.

For more information, please feel free to contact us.
