Does anyone know how to correct a one-sided error in Accounting?
It has to do with previous year-ends, and on searching, I am finding entries with one part of the original entry showing as account "Unknown".
This has caused my trial balance to be out of balance.....

You have an account that has been deleted, or is otherwise a problem.

You should be able to add the account back into the Chart of Accounts to fix the problem. You will be back in balance then.
