My question may automatically disqualify me, but....

I've never been a Beta tester before so: Is anything expected/required of a Beta tester other than just using the software as if it were the "real thing" on their system? And then, of course, reporting kinks, bugs, and the like, I presume. I think I need more info before saying "yes"... altho' that is my first inclination.

Actually Eden, you're exactly right. Having actual users using the program as they normally would definitely helps in a number of ways:

1. Helps to find bugs - this is a no-brainer
2. Helps to find problems in the workflow, that is - did the changes made help or hinder what you normally do on a day-to-day basis.
3. Helps to identify if the requested options are actually working as requested. For example, I asked that a report be created to help identify members in a certain group. Now I need to verify that the report is doing what I expected by getting the data from V10 using the method I currently use, then check to see that those results equal what is coming up in v11.

Of course, you would not be using this for your Production, that is, live data for this testing, but a converted database. The installer does install the beta into a separate directory, and installs an icon that identifies it as v11. Of course, once you see some of the changes to the screens in v11, you would not mistake v11 for v10. ;)

We are interested in participating in the Beta Testing. What would we need to do?
